This summer, West Atco Youth in Action (WAYIA) is proud to offer a FREE Karate Summer Camp designed to help young people stay active, build confidence, and develop valuable life skills in a positive and supportive environment.
The program will run every Tuesday from July 7 through July 28, 2026, with classes held from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Friends of WAYIA.
More Than a Summer Activity
Parents are often looking for meaningful summer programs that keep children engaged while helping them grow. Karate provides much more than physical activity. It teaches focus, respect, perseverance, self-control, and confidence—skills that benefit youth both inside and outside the dojo.
For more than 35 years, West Atco Youth in Action has helped young people develop the character and leadership skills needed for success in school, at home, and in their communities.
Benefits of Karate Training for Youth
Participants in the Free Karate Summer Camp will have the opportunity to:
- Build confidence and self-esteem
- Improve focus and concentration
- Learn discipline and respect
- Develop leadership skills
- Increase physical fitness and coordination
- Practice goal setting and perseverance
- Engage in positive peer interactions
These lessons extend far beyond martial arts and help prepare young people for future success.
